happy new years everyone! (is 3 months late)
where have you been?
hi! i've been a little busy with life since around mid-october. a lot of things have changed since then and i plan to start work on projects soon.
that said, i'm still preoccupied a majority of the time and can't do much other than put together music sketches every once in a while (i will not be releasing them (they are legitimately affronts to god)).
there is little to no news regarding previous projects, however, i can detail the states of some of said projects below.
KELSO
kelso hasn't seen much work outside of general storyboard refactoring. porting the game to the steam deck was a huge hurdle to try and overcome, considering godot 3's asynchronous shader compilation support for it was lacking almost entirely. godot 4.0 came out a few weeks ago, and i'm still not sure how i can even approach porting the current build to 4.0 without severely hindering my progress (and mental wellbeing). however, making this change would make development easier in the long run, and the whole steam deck headache would be resolved almost entirely.
CRASHDUMP
the CRASHDUMP EP is still being worked on, however, living up to HALFMEASURE's mostly accidental quality has been a really difficult challenge for me. motivation and inspiration for making music has been pretty low as a whole, but some progress has been made.
E.T.P
ETP is on coolmathgames! a few changes had to be made, but i recommend you check it out, it was a fun little project, and the people at coolmath were very kind!
conclusion
your regular scheduled programming should resume fairly soon. i still cant promise ill come back now or even at full force but id hate to leave people in the dark for much longer than this.
take care!
